Letsrecycle Live was named ‘Best Trade Show Over 2000m2’ at the Exhibition News (EN) Awards at Evolution London in Battersea last week (18 March).
Last year, Letsrecycle Live took place from 15 to 16 September at the NAEC at Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry (see letsrecycle.com story).
The second ever edition of the show offered visitors a packed conference schedule, live demonstrations of some of the latest vehicles and kit in the sector, and unrivalled networking opportunities. More than 200 exhibitors took part.
Hosted by actor, comedian, and writer Hugh Dennis, the EN Awards recognised the best of the exhibitions industry in 2022.
Letsrecycle Live beat off stiff competition from other shows to claim gold in its category, including from garden and outdoor living trade show Glee, which received a silver award.
On winning, Ali McQueen, event director for Letsrecycle Live, said: “We were delighted to win this award on behalf of our visitors, exhibitors, and partners who made the show a success.
“The past couple of years have shone a spotlight on the incredible work that goes on within the waste and recycling sector and also its importance in protecting the environment. The show served as a chance to celebrate that and it’s pleasing to see the industry recognised.
“We look forward to bringing all the energy and dynamism of Letsrecycle Live to the NEC next year.”
2022
The RWM and Letsrecycle Live trade shows will run side-by-side this year after events and media company ROAR B2B acquired the Environment Media Group, letsrecycle.com‘s former parent company, in 2021 (see letsrecycle.com story).
To run on 14 to 15 September, the free-to-attend event will bring together the best of both shows, with an expected attendance of more than 10,000.
Taking place at the NEC Birmingham, the shows will be spread across indoor halls and an added 10,000m2 of outdoor exhibition space.
Visitors will experience live demonstrations of vehicles and machinery, more than 300 expert speakers across 100 sessions, a range of networking events, and the on-site pub, street food market, and live music.
