Role: Sales Manager
Job Type: Full Time
Location: London (office 3 days min per week / home base)
Reports To: Event Director
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Manager to join our Business Technology Division. The individual needs to be able to build strong and professional business relationships with customers and potential customers in order to drive revenue through the sale of exhibition stand, sponsorship and speaking packages.
The focus of this role is to sell these packages, ensuring your personal targets are hit and supporting the management team to deliver successful events. The role will focus on delivering mostly, but not solely, new business through telesales and other related activities including, email, video calls and attending industry events and conferences as required.
The company is growing fast and expanding its portfolio internationally so there may be some international travel if required by the company. Your growth and success are important to us as an organisation, with the opportunity for personal development and progression for successful individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prospecting
Identifying and pre-qualifying potential new customers and closing new business to hit growth targets outlined in the sales plan.
• Understanding our customers’ business to deliver pertinent packages to meet their requirements.
• Forecasting monthly, quarterly and annually against your sales targets
• Developing strong product knowledge regarding all ROAR events, including demographics, content focuses and customer profiles.
• Hitting activity targets which includes CRM and telephone targets.
• Demonstrating excellent forecasting skills as and when required
• Negotiating and maximising the potential of all sales transactions
• Utilising the full mix of telephone, email, video and when required, face to face sales channels.
• Being fully aware of the competitive event and media landscape
• Administration
Maintaining CRM to a high level and ensuring all contract paperwork and show floor plans are accurate and up to date.
• Liaising with marketing and operations to ensure the packages are delivered to expectations.
• Assisting with credit control as required
• Being an ambassador for our company, maintaining high personal standards and levels of customer service
• Building strong market knowledge through monitoring websites, reading publications, speaking to customers, attending events etc.
What’s Required to Succeed as a Sales Manager:
• Success in delivering revenue targets.
• Knowledge of trade show/media/advertising industry preferred, although not essential.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Strong customer focus
• Strong self-starter who is motivated and capable of working independently.
• Strong communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.
• Must be creative; offers a fresh perspective and new ideas, ability to think out of the box.
• Basic computer skills in excel and used to working in CRM systems
• This role is for an individual who is ready to make the transition as a senior sales executive to sales manager

Role: Event Content Lead – Environmental

The role:
The role of Event Content Lead – Environmental is to drive the content for our existing, growing portfolio of annual letsrecycle.com conferences and wider environmental tradeshows.
The individual needs to be creative, organised and have excellent attention to detail, with a natural flair for communication and building relationships. The individual will be placed within the editorial team and report to the Editor, but it’s key that they build strong relationships with those within the event and marketing departments to ensure synergy when planning events.
Key responsibilities:
• Take responsibility for on creating conference agendas and tradeshow panels, while working closely with the wider letsrecycle.com team.
• Ensure all events are kept in line with schedule with editorial, marketing and attendee communications.
• Reporting progress to Environment department in the lead up to each event.
• Contribute to the smooth running of Environment webinars.
• Seek and secure new business with existing and new clients.
• Provide key information/feedback from customers to Environment arm and other key stakeholders.
• Prepared to work outside of business hours and willing to travel if needed to achieve expectations of role.
• To work with colleagues to identify new conference opportunities.
• Conduct in-depth market and industry research to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging topics, ensuring the production of topical and commercially successful events and awards
• Secure engaging and high-profile speakers to deliver impactful presentations at conferences and awards
• Cultivate strong relationships with key industry stakeholders and leverage connections to involve in conference programming and the effective promotion of the events
• Work closely with the marketing team to ensure the successful promotion of events, aligning content with promotional efforts.
• Liaise with sponsors to ensure high-quality sessions, emphasising the importance of content quality over sales pitches
• Speaker logistics, including, but not limited to, sending out speaker instructions, collecting speaker assets, updating speaker profiles and agendas on the website
• Provide excellent onsite event management, overseeing speakers, delegates and logistical arrangements to ensure a flawless delivery of the event.
Skills required:
• Experience successfully creating content for conferences to a consistently high standard.
• A proven ability to work to tight deadlines, with attention to detail under pressure on multiple shows at once.
• Creative copywriting and proofing skills
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent interpersonal skill and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and collaborate with other departments.
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Computer literate and proficient in the use of commonly used software, ideally Hubspot, Lineup Ninja, Cvent
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
